Lana Schorvitz, M.Ed., TVI

Lana Schorvitz is a certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with more than 16 years of experience supporting students with visual impairments across educational settings. For the past decade, she has operated her contracting practice, Visual Impairment Access, LLC, providing specialized services to public school districts, charter schools, private schools, and families.

Lana holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Georgia State University, with an endorsement in reading, and a Master’s degree in Visual Impairment from University of Northern Colorado. She also earned graduate certification in Cortical Visual Impairment through the University of Massachusetts Boston / Perkins School for the Blind program, providing her with advanced training in supporting students with complex visual needs.

Lana is also an active contributor to the field of visual impairment education. She has published instructional resources through Paths to Literacy and has provided professional trainings for organizations including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). She regularly presents to healthcare professionals, teachers of the visually impaired, educators, and parents on topics related to visual impairment, braille literacy, cortical visual impairment, and accessible instruction.
